The LG G2 is one of the worst kept secrets since the invention of the concept of keeping things “secret.” We are not complaining mind you, LG has been touting the upcoming device for quite some time now.
One of the unique features for the device will be the expected placement of the power/lock button and volume controls on the back of the handset which may prove to be a convenient location for such controls since you will not have to wrap your hand all the way around the length or width of the G2 to handle basic controls.
One area where the secrets have been relatively well kept is in the area of specifications of the LG G2. Based on rumors and little else, the G2 might have a 5.2-inch 1080×1920 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and maybe 3GB of RAM. Of course it will be packing Android, though we are not expecting it to be running 4.3. However, we will be happy to eat those words later if we need to.
Will the volume/power control placements prove to be ergonomic? Will we all the rumored variations of the G2 (storage capacities and carrier availability)? We will share all the answers following tomorrow’s announcement of the LG G2 in New York City.
