Special edition HTC One mini announced; designed by David Koma, only 10 to be made

HTC has announced that it has teamed up with British designer David Koma to produce a special edition of the HTC One mini. An extremely limited production run of 10 units will be made and each phone will contain one of two distinctive patterns created by Koma. One pattern reflects his designs for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, and the other is a preview of his Spring/Summer 2014 show.

The designs are printed onto the aluminum back of the HTC One mini and the only way for consumers to obtain one is to win a contest being held over Twitter from September 4th through the 23rd by HTC’s U.K. subsidiary. To enter, you need to submit your own design based on Koma’s work using any medium or material, and reflecting the idea of “change”. You then tweet your entry to #htckoma. The grand prize winner gets a signed print of the designs made by David Koma for the HTC One mini.

“The designs I’ve created for this special edition of the HTC One mini mirror the transition in style from my previous season’s collection to my upcoming one which will be presented during London Fashion Week. Pushing boundaries and exploring new techniques play a huge part in how I bring a collection together – taking part in this project has been a very exciting experience for me and an opportunity to find inspiration from working with new materials.”-David Koma
