Korean media is confirming previous Bloomberg reports that Samsung’s second edition of the Galaxy Gear smart watch will be greatly improved compared to the first, especially in terms of design.
Samsung has apparently redrawn all the parts in the watch that look conformist and boring, and will be outfitting the thinner Galaxy Gear 2 with a flexible OLED display of an yet-unknown diagonal size. Hopefully besides the thorough exterior renovation we will also see improved software and pairing, as well as better battery life, too.
The new Galaxy Gear smart watch is expected to be unveiled in March with April availability, says the publication, which might mean it will be announced together with the Galaxy S5 flagship. Rumor is that it will also sport health monitoring functions, to battle the abundance of wearables released this year at CES, but also the speculated iWatch from Apple.
